My name is Danielle Ellis
I'm a graduate of the graphic design program at Charleston Southern University. Through my education, work and volunteer experience, I have obtained valuable skills in graphic and web design, social media marketing, and photography. I've used these skills in desigingin brand/identity , marketing and promotional collateral, publication design, social media graphics, web and print advertisements, and infographics. I've also obtained and utilized skills in copywriting, digital and content marketing, scripting languages, promotions, and video editing.
In my current position as Digital Coordinator at WHBF-TV, I maintain the station's website, OurQuadCities.com, as well as design web pages through the Lakana CMS and utilize HTML/CSS. Additionally, I conceptualize, develop, and execute promotional social media campaigns. This includes creating a content schedule, designing social media graphics, executing the plan on social media platforms, and evaluating the results to ensure improvements for the next campaign.
In 2016, I started volunteering as a Small Business Marketing Mentor for PeopleFund. My duties include marketing consultation on the topics of graphic and web design, marketing, and social media/digital marketing. Using the knowledge I gained from my Digital Marketing and Content Marketing certificates, I've helped clients understand social media and why they needed it. Additionally, I coached clients in creating social media marketing strategies.
Every designer claims that design is their passion and it is mine. But to me, those aren't empty words and a false sentiment. I take deep pride in my work, always striving for the most effective, powerful results for the company or client I'm working for. I'm addicted to learning and am always working to improve my current skills and acquire new ones. Above all, I deeply appreciate creative collaboration and work excellently in a team environment. However, I can work independently as I have excellent time management and self-management skills.
